Daily Bagel: Vandeweghe loses a bet to Watson; Duval announces return -

o During Wimbledon last year, Vicky Duval received shocking news that she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She hasn't played since that tournament, but on Sunday, Duval posted a video on Twitter and announced that she will return at this year's U.S. Open. "I'm playing my first tournament at a $25,000 ITF event in Landisville, Pennsylvania and possibly the WTA in New Haven after," Duval said.

o Duval also wrote a first-person essay for The Player's Tribune titled "Return."

o Tom Tebbutt for Tennis Canada on Genie Bouchard and her struggles, as well as the recent decline of Simona Halep.

Said Bouchard: "I've been saying all year that maybe a bit of patience is required but now I'm tired of being patient. I want to see results. I want to feel good on the court most importantly. So that's my goal, I'm still motivated to turn this around."

o Li Na will return to this year's Wuhan Open in September to help unveil the new state-of-the-art arena. "This is great for tennis and fantastic for my home town of Wuhan," she said.

o CoCo Vandeweghe lost a bet to Heather Watson. Here's what happened:

o While in Washington D.C. as the No. 1 seed at the Citi Open, Britain's Andy Murray toured the White House. This is his first time in the city since 2006.
